The Dallas Cowboys were one of the teams that made the most changes this offseason. They brought in a new head coach in Brian Schottenheimer, and also made a splashy trade when they acquired George Pickens.

The Georgia product steps into the WR2 role behind CeeDee Lamb and drastically improves the Cowboys' passing attack. While the excitement for his play on the field continues to build up, his latest statement makes his exit from the Pittsburgh Steelers look worse.

On June 30, the Steelers traded safety S Fitzpatrick and a 2027 fifth-round pick to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for CB Jalen Ramsey, TE Jonnu Smith, and a 2027 seventh-round pick.

That move got the attention of Pickens, who commented on it. In an Instagram post, Pickens wrote, "Super happy for you broski!!!!! Back to beautiful places in life." That post looked like a shot at his former city, as he and Fitzpatrick are no longer in Pittsburgh.

George Pickens Comments on Steelers' Latest Trade

Pickens and Fitzpatrick were teammates for the last three years in Pittsburgh, and both guys will have fresh starts in 2025.

This statement is the most recent example of how Pickens has completely turned the page on his Steelers chapter. Following the trade, he backed out of a youth camp that was based in Pittsburgh in June, and it didn't go over well with fans.

Him saying "Back to beautiful place" certainly looks like a dig at his former team, and he's not hiding that he's thrilled to be elsewhere himself. And he is excited that Fitzpatrick gets to experience that too.

Pickens has built a reputation for being somewhat of a diva and dramatic. Whether or not that continues in Dallas remains to be seen, but it looks like he isn't mad that he's somewhere else, and he feels that Fitzpatrick is better off in his new location.

He was supporting his teammate, but some may not look at it like that. In the future, Pickens is better off served focusing on the Cowboys and how he'll be a valuable asset for the team in 2025.
