The Dallas Cowboys have undergone a lot of change already this offseason. Since naming Brian Schottenheimer as the head coach, the Cowboys have made some additions on the coaching staff.
One person they added was Matt Eberflus, who will be the defensive coordinator. He wasted no time giving props to edge Micah Parsons.
Eberflus said, "Micah is a premier pass rusher. We're going to use him that way, certainly. And he's one heck of an athlete that can do a lot of different things for us on defense."
Parsons commented on that quote on his X account and said, "LFG".

Matt Eberflus Wasted No Time Hyping up Micah Parsons
The 54-year-old knows how important Parsons is to his defensive unit and didn't waste time giving props to their best player. Without Parsons in the fold, the Cowboys defense would take a nose dive and Eberflus knows that.
Across four seasons with the Cowboys (63 games), the Penn State product has compiled 256 total tackles, 63 TFLs, 52.5 sacks, and nine pass deflections. He's recorded double-digit sacks in four straight games. The 25-year-old also secured four straight Pro Bowl appearances and three All-Pro nods.
Eberflus boasting about Parsons in the offseason is the right approach and will keep him excited going into the season.
Granted there will be a ton of chatter this offseason regarding an extension for Parsons. He reportedly wants to become the highest paid defensive player in the league and overtake Bosa's mark at $34 million a year.
That has led to trade buzz around the superstar defender but the Cowboys wouldn't be wise to ship out their best player. He brings something to the table that not many other players can do.
Eberflus is excited to have Parsons in his defensive scheme and is ready to put him in positions to succeed. And Parsons seems ready to get the ball rolling as well.
