How will the Cowboys address their running back situation going into the season?

Throughout this offseason, the Cowboys have made it clear that they are not looking to spend their limited cap space on free agents, especially not at the running back position.

Due to the Cowboys restraining from spending money on free agents and their lead back Tony Pollard signing with the Tennessee Titans this past March, the running back position is currently dismantled going into training camp.

At the moment the RB position is spearheaded by Ezekiel Elliott, who is not the running back he once was and raises concerns for Cowboys fans over how efficient the offense will be with Elliott in the backfield.

Throughout camp it will be interesting to see how the running back position plays out and whether veteran Rico Dowdle will be able to make an impact on the offense, or if Zeke will be the solo leader for the Cowboys this season.

If Dallas doesn't see a clear RB1, it could consider going after a young running back like Javonte Williams, who may be on the outs with Denver Broncos and has shown the potential to be a solid starting running back despite injuries.
