3 Cowboys Who Could Still Be Cut After Making the 53-Man Roster

It's the "initial" 53-man roster, not the "final" 53-man roster.

There's a reason we call the roster on cutdown day the "initial" 53-man roster and not the "final" 53-man roster.

We're still over a week from kickoff of the NFL season, and that leaves ample time for roster shakeups to continue — especially because so many intriguing players have become available in the last 24 hour.

So while 53 Cowboys have officially made the initial 53, there are plenty of guys whose jobs are still hanging in limbo, and will be for a while yet.

But you know what doesn't have to be in limbo? Your $250 bonus from Caesars Sportsbook. New users who sign up through the exclusive Sport DFW link below will get their $250 bonus guaranteed, whether your $50 wager wins or not. This offer expires soon though, so sign up now to cash in!

Anyway, here are three Cowboys who made the 53-man roster that may still be cut.

Cowboys 53-Man Roster Members Who Could Still Be Cut

1. Neville Gallimore

Neville Gallimore must have barely made the roster. A lot of people had him as a fairly obvious cut candidate, but he somehow edged out Quinton Bohanna.

The inclusion of Gallimore leaves us with six defensive tackles on the roster though, and that certainly feels like more depth than we need. It'd be one thing if we just had too much talent to want to cut any of it, but it's another entirely when you're keeping Gallimore as No. 6.

He had a good preseason, sure, but this is a guy that ranked 197th among the 221 interior defensive linemen that Pro Football Focus graded in 2022.

If the Cowboys covet any new free agents, or if a practice injury means we need more depth at another spot, Gallimore should be the first guy to go.
