3 Former Cowboys Who Still Can't Find A Job in 2024 Free Agency
The Dallas Cowboys have been fairly quiet throughout this offseason. They haven't made any big splash signings but have seen multiple players and coaches walk out of the building.
The likes of Tyron Smith, Tony Pollard, Tyler Biadasz, and Dorance Armstong have left the building. Meanwhile, Dan Quinn, Joe Whitt Jr., Shariff Floyd, and Aden Durde have found other jobs around the league.
The only addition they have made was signing LB Eric Kendricks to bolster the interior of the defense.
Nonetheless, there are a few former players who haven't found a new home yet. Below we'll discuss three former Cowboys that are still looking for a job.
1. Jayron Kearse, S
Safety Jayron Kearse has been in the league since being selected in the seventh round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Kearse has the size and awareness to play both safety spots.
Standing at 6'4, Kearse takes long strides but is willing to come up to make a tackle. The former Clemson standout has played around the box more lately to help out against the run but struggled in pass coverage last year.
Per PFF, Kearse finished the year with a grade of 40.9 in coverage with a passer rating of 102.3.
That was a dip in production for Kearse, as he logged a grade of 63 and up in the past two years with Dallas.
Over the past three seasons in Dallas, he's logged 250 total tackles, four interceptions, and 19 pass deflections.
Despite putting up these solid numbers, Kearse has struggled to find a home for 2024.
