3. Joey Hunt, C

The Cowboys' offensive line doesn't only need depth at tackle but also center considering how Tyler Biadasz is the only one on the roster.

The last thing Dallas needs is for Biadasz to suffer an untimely injury, resulting in zero depth behind him. That's why it'd be a good idea to take a chance on veteran C Joey Hunt.

After spending the 2022 campaign in Seattle, Hunt was back with the Seahawks for the preseason, surrendering 1 sack across 45 offensive snaps. His PFF grade of 60.9 isn't the most glamorous, but it's still decent enough for a player in a backup role.

One drawback is that Hunt hasn't played a regular-season game since 2020, but his preseason play proved that he still has some juice. Besides, he's still suited up across 35 games (11 starts) and even started twice during the Seahawks' 2019 playoff run. A lot of free-agent centers don't even have that much experience.

Similar to a potential Evans signing, I don't think Hunt would boost the Cowboys' championship odds. However, he's ready to step up whenever an injury occurs and still offers solid protection in a limited role.
