Another return that will certainly be welcomed by Cowboys fans would be bringing back offensive lineman Connor Williams.

The former second-round pick of the Dallas Cowboys, Williams was a key member of the offensive line for four seasons as a left guard before signing with the Miami Dolphins in the 2022 offseason. He played center in Miami over the last two seasons, making him the perfect replacement for Tyler Biadasz.

There is one issue with a potential Williams signing. He tore his ACL in December and is currently rehabbing his knee. He is currently not signed with a team because his agent had said Williams is focused on his recovery rather than the contract.

This could provide an opportunity for the Cowboys to take a flyer on a familiar face. Assuming that Williams will be ready to play, he can be on a team-friendly, prove-it deal. Given the financial limitations of the Cowboys, bringing in a solid starter on such a deal could be very beneficial for team construction.

There are no good center options in free agency. Williams is certainly the most established and talented player available in his position. The Cowboys will likely draft a center at the draft, but having the veteran Williams behind him could do wonders for the team.
