The Dallas Cowboys took care of business in Week 1 despite having several key contributors sidelined due to injuries. Now they'll look to begin the season 2-0 with a win over the New York Jets, who are dealing with their own health issues.

The injury bug is likely to impact Dallas' roster once again as the coaching staff determines their active players for Sunday's contest. With that in mind, here are the most likely Cowboys to be inactive versus the Jets.

Projecting Cowboys Week 2 Inactives vs. Jets

1. Tyler Smith & 2. Donovan Wilson

Let's start with the injured guys. Tyler Smith (hamstring), Donovan Wilson (calf) and Jourdan Lewis (foot) were all forced to miss the opener due to their respective health issues.

Jerry Jones had a promising update on the trio this week, saying they're on the cusp of returning to action.

However, he noted Smith was a little behind in his readiness compared to the other two. He and Wilson both logged DNPs on Wednesday's injury report, which puts them on the outside looking in at playing this week.

Obviously they still have Thursday and the weekend to get ready for game action, but I wouldn't be surprised if Dallas exercises caution for one more game. After all, the Cowboys had no trouble starting the year strong in each guy's respective area. The offensive line gave up 0 sacks in Week 1, and the secondary was responsible for forcing all three of the Giants' turnovers in the opener.

The Jets, who are reeling at quarterback following the loss of Aaron Rodgers, will likely struggle through the air in Week 2. While New York has a problematic pass rush, the Cowboys have the talent to get by and not rush Smith back.
