5 Cowboys on Thin Ice After Crushing Loss to Eagles in Week 9
• Michael Gallup is struggling mightily
• Cowboys entire offense is slowed by this OT

Week 9 was huge for the Dallas Cowboys who were trying to prove they could hang with the Philadelphia Eagles. They had a lead at the half but fell behind thanks to a frustrating third quarter.
Dallas fought their way back but were dealt a crushing loss when their final drive fell short of the end zone. Now at 5-3, they’re well behind the 8-1 Eagles and need to make improvements going forward.
With that being said, these 5 Cowboys are on thin ice heading into their Week 10 meeting with the New York Giants.
5. Jourdan Lewis, Cornerback
When Trevon Diggs went down with a torn ACL, Dallas was glad they elected to keep Jourdan Lewis on the roster. While he was pushed down the depth chart by DaRon Bland, he does have plenty of starting experience and is a capable slot corner who was able to step in.
Unfortunately, he hasn’t exactly lived up to expectations. While Bland has continued to thrive, Lewis has struggled in coverage and was a problem for Dallas in Week 9.
Against the Eagles, the veteran corner was given a grade of just 44.3 in coverage which made him by far the weakest link in the secondary this past weekend.
The Cowboys boast an impressive defense capable of shutting down the run while also being able to get after the quarterback. They also have one of the most opportunistic corners in Bland and a savvy veteran in Stephon Gilmore. While they’re clearly happy with those two, it might not be long before they’re searching for an upgrade over Lewis.
