The Dallas Cowboys head into 2024 with immense pressure on the roster after another disappointing end of the season last year. It didn't help that they weren't aggressive in the offseason after Jerry Jones said the team would be 'all-in'.

Add in that the Cowboys haven't paid Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and Micah Parsons, the storylines continue to pile up.

With OTAs in full swing around the league, teams are getting ready for next season. WR Brandin Cooks heaped praise on both Lamb and Prescott, saying that both deserved to be paid.

Cooks now added some pressure onto a third-year playmaker with his latest comments.

Cowboys News: Brandin Cooks Believes Jalen Tolbert Will Have A Breakout Season in 2024

WR Jalen Tolbert will have a larger role next season behind Cooks and Lamb.

Tolbert was selected in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of South Alabama. At the combine, he ran a 4.49 40-yard dash with 1.54 10-yard split and a 36' inch vert.

Through two years he hasn't produced too much, logging 24 receptions for 280 yards and two touchdowns.

Despite the early lack of success, Cooks has a lot of faith in Tolbert and thinks he can have a breakout year.

Cooks said, "The way that he's able to talk about a route or the way he's able to tell the quarterback the way he sees things, he's not shy anymore. He's able to go up to Dak Prescott and say, 'Hey, I seen it this way,' and it's awesome to see him grow in that aspect."

He also added, "He's ready to go. Whatever the expectation is for him out there, I'm telling you he's going to crush it. He's ready."

Cooks clearly displayed a lot of faith in Tolbert after being with him over the past two years. The 30-year-old has gone over 1,000 yards six different times in his career so he knows what it takes to succeed in this league.

However, these comments added some extra pressure onto Tolbert. The 25-year-old has all the tools needed to excel but hasn't been able to put it together.

Since Dallas didn't add to the WR core, they will certainly need Tolbert to step his game up in 2024. If he doesn't, the narrative around him will switch over to bust territory.
