CeeDee Lamb Being Recruited By Former Teammate

With every passing day without a contract extension between the Dallas Cowboys and CeeDee Lamb, new rumors surrounding the star wide receiver emerge. The 25-year-old All-Pro pass-catcher is currently holding out while the team got together this week for the first round of organized team activities. As Lamb enters the fifth and final season of his rookie contract, he is expecting to be paid like the best wide receiver in the league.
If the Cowboys refuse to give him the contract Lamb desires, there will be plenty of teams knocking on Dallas' door. In fact, players around the NFL already started recruiting him.
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray posted an Instagram story earlier on Wednesday reminiscing the days when he and Lamb were a dynamic duo for the University of Oklahoma. In the video he posted, Murray is throwing a touchdown pass to Lamb.
Perhaps this is not too surprising. Murray and Lamb played together for two seasons in Oklahoma, where Murray won the Heisman Trophy in 2018 and went on to become the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
A year later, Murray was lobbying for the Cardinals to select Lamb with the No. 8 overall pick. Arizona instead drafted linebacker Isaiah Simmons out of Clemson, while Lamb was available at No. 17 for the Dallas Cowboys. And the rest is history.
Murray has struggled to find a reliable wide receiver throughout his tenure in Arizona while Lamb turned into one of the best offensive weapons in the league.
It is still unclear whether Lamb is actually on the trade block. If he truly were, the Cardinals would certainly be one of many teams to come up with an offer. Whether they would be able to win the sweepstakes that will certainly require significant assets remains to be seen but Kyler Murray will definitely do whatever he can to make it happen.
