CeeDee Lamb's Cryptic Social Media Post Has Cowboys Fans Scrambling
By Jovan Alford
We are entering the final week of NFL preseason action and the Dallas Cowboys have to sign star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb to a contract extension.
The star wide receiver has been adamant about wanting a new deal this offseason after having a career season in 2023. Lamb produced 135 receptions (181 targets) for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Without Lamb, the Cowboys’ offense looks pedestrian, which isn’t what Dallas owner Jerry Jones wants to see or hear.
The latest news we heard about Lamb’s contract negotiations was that he reportedly turned down a contract offer of $33 million per year, making him the second-highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL behind Minnesota Vikings star receiver Justin Jefferson.
As you can imagine, that report didn’t quell the nerves of Cowboys fans, who are waiting for the news of Lamb re-signing with Dallas.
The star receiver took Cowboys fans on a wild ride on Monday as he posted a picture of Spider-Man on social media, which made no sense and sent the fanbase into a frenzy.
Cowboys and football fans were trying to figure out what his picture from Spider-Man 3 means as it can be left up to many interpretations. However, RJ Ochoa from Blogging The Boys gave two interesting explanations, which make sense in the bigger picture.
Cowboys fans would love to see the news about Lamb and the Cowboys coming to terms on a new deal. However, it wouldn’t be shocking to see the young wideout take the villain approach, especially with some of the things Jones has said recently in the media.
Nevertheless, Dallas fans would like the star wide receiver’s contract drama to be resolved soon as the regular season is quickly approaching.
