CeeDee Lamb Facing Steep Cost For Skipping Cowboys' Minicamp

CeeDee Lamb will have a big price to pay for missing minicamp.

The Dallas Cowboys have so many different storylines and question marks that have emerged this offseason. That comes with being America's Team and having one of the most powerful owners in the league -- Jerry Jones.

Mandatory minicamps ran from Jun. 4-6, as the last team activity before training camp rolls around in late July.

Despite that taking place down in Texas, the Cowboys had to deal with storylines of CeeDee Lamb being absent from minicamp. He decided not to show up as he seeks a long-term extension.

Due to his absence from three days of practice, Lamb will have to cough up some serious money.

Cowboys News: CeeDee Lamb Is Subject of Over $100K in Fines

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Lamb is going to be fined a total of $101,716 for missing mandatory minicamps.

The Oklahoma product missing minicamp doesn't come as a surprise. He's been one of the best playmakers in the NFL since being drafted in 2020 and wants to be rewarded like that.

There have been plenty of weapons around the league who received massive paydays over the offseason. That list includes:

  • A.J. Brown: three-year, $96 million, $84 million guaranteed.
  • Amon-Ra St. Brown: four-year, $120 million, $77 million guaranteed
  • Jaylen Waddle: three-year, $84.75 million, $76 million guaranteed
  • Justin Jefferson: four-year, $140 million, $110 million guaranteed

Lamb has been a superstar in Dallas and has shown his ability to take over games. The 25-year-old has compiled 395 receptions for 5,145 receiving yards with 32 touchdowns across four seasons.

He's certainly going to become one of the highest-paid WRs once both sides agree to terms. But until then, he'll have to hand over $101K in fines.
