It's a running joke that nothing is ever quiet or dull about the Dallas Cowboys. Even with the team on summer break before training camp gets rolling around in a few weeks, players on the team are still being discussed.

WR CeeDee Lamb has been heavily talked about after he skipped OTAs and mandatory minicamp as he seeks a massive contract extension.

Although he hasn't been present with the team, he's still working out as he prepares for next season. A video on X (formerly Twitter) showed Lamb working on various drills to improve his explosiveness.

Former Cowboy wide receiver Cole Beasley responded to the video, saying, "Man just do some heavy squats and power cleans."

A fan then trolled Beasley saying he never eclipsed 1,000 yards but is trying to school Lamb. The 35-year-old threw shade at Lamb and responded, "Give me 180 targets off the couch and I eclipse 1000. Stop looking at stats and check the tape. As far as getting open goes…I’m confident I did that with the best of them."

Lamb saw all of this and decided to answer.

Cowboys News: Ceedee Lamb Responses to Cole Beasley

Lamb quote tweeted Beasley and stated, "I don’t need 180 targets to touch a band. Pull up tape, I’d match you route for route on getting open. Just Chill."

The 25-year-old has every right to get back at Beasley. First off, Beasley played in Dallas from 2012-2018 but never logged more than 833 yards. His career high was 967 yards in 2020 with the Buffalo Bills.

Yeah, Beasley was a cool slot receiver but was nothing stellar compared to Lamb.

The former Oklahoma standout is a superstar playmaker who can win on all three levels on the field. Whatever workouts Lamb is doing off the field is clearly translating. He's recorded three straight seasons with over 1,000 yards and at least six touchdowns.

In 2023, Lamb set Dallas single-season records in both receptions (135) and receiving yards (1,749) with 12 touchdowns. Those numbers helped Lamb land on the First-Team All-Pro and notch his third straight Pro Bowl appearance.

Beasley played in the NFL for 11 seasons, notching 5,744 receiving yards and 34 touchdowns. Meanwhile, Lamb has only played in four seasons but has recorded 5,145 receiving yards and 32 receiving touchdowns.

Lamb doesn't need to take any tips from Beasley. He's more than fine without his input.
