Veteran Cowboys CB Jourdan Lewis suddenly finds himself embroiled in a social media kerfuffle with star Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, who called Lewis his "least favorite" defensive back in the NFL.

Appearing on The Pivot Podcast with former Steeler Ryan Clark, St. Brown discussed Lewis' persistent trash talk, noting if he got the chance to "kill him" then he'd take advantage of it.

Lewis, a Detroit native, responded by assuring St. Brown that competitive fire is reserved for the Lions, pointing out that the receiver himself is not from Detroit. The NFC contenders square off in Week 6, a matchup sure to produce fireworks.

St. Brown didn't hesitate when asked who his least favorite defensive back is.

"Jourdan Lewis, I think, is his name from the Cowboys," the WR answered. "He was talking crazy out of pocket...I don't know what he's saying. I'm trying to make plays, win the game. I'm not worried about him. But once he starts talking like that it's like alright, if I do get a chance to kill him, I'ma kill him."

Originally a third-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, Lewis enters his eighth season in Dallas. In an Instagram post, the cornerback said he's "passionate about my craft and I don't want to be friends with everyone, especially a Detroit Lion not from Detroit."

The Cowboys have been in a series of social media battles of late, though this one sets up the aforementioned exciting matchup in Week 16. These teams last met in Week 17 last year, with Dallas holding onto a 20-19 victory that prevented Detroit from claiming the NFC's No. 1 seed.

St. Brown had six catches for 90 yards and TD in that contest, though Lewis held his own with six tackles and two deflected passes.

This appears to be a relatively lighthearted feud overall but you can bet the two rivals will exchange words once they get the opportunity on the field. The Lions are tied for the second-best odds to win the NFC (+600) at FanDuel Sportsbook with the Cowboys trailing closely behind at +800, so it's possible these squads will face each other in the playoffs as well.

By the looks of it, Lewis will be ready for war against the two-time Pro Bowl receiver.
