Despite Wednesday being the last official practice for the Dallas Cowboys, there was no shortage of drama. The day was headlined by a few scuffles, including one that reportedly saw safety Donovan Wilson throw a punch at tight end Jake Ferguson.

Even more notable, though, was rookie Tyler Guyton leaving the session early with a potential injury. That news immediately prompted fears, especially considering the rookie's importance on this offensive line.

Thankfully, it appears Guyton avoided anything serious.

Patrick Walker of the Cowboys' team site reported Wednesday afternoon that Guyton removed himself from practice due to simple knee soreness. Walker added he's been told the Oklahoma product will be fine and it's "not a big deal," so that should quell any worries.

While those in Dallas don't want to see the first-round pick missing reps due to injury concerns, especially after being sidelined by an illness earlier this summer, it's good to hear this was just a precautionary measure.

With still over two weeks until the Cowboys' first game of the season, there's no point in Guyton pushing himself now if something doesn't feel right, so the rookie absolutely made the right call to bow out.

Guyton's been one of Dallas' standouts from training camp, with the rookie earning a starting role quicker than expected due to injuries. This is all while transitioning from right to left tackle to begin his NFL career, but he's in no better situation to learn than going up against the Cowboys' talented defense every day in practice.

With Guyton set to start from the jump and fellow 2024 pick Cooper Beebe surging to end camp, it appears Dallas has done it again by finding stud talent to fortify its O-line.
