We are only two days away from the 2024 NFL Draft and like every fanbase in the league, Cowboys fans are eagerly waiting for the moment their team is going to be on the clock. Armed with a pick in each of the first three rounds, Jerry Jones and the front office will have a chance to redeem themselves after an embarrassingly underwhelming offseason.

In addition to three picks in the first two days of the draft, Dallas has four more Day 3 draft picks. The Cowboys could potentially package a few of these to move up in the draft or trade for a player. One option here would be to take a flyer and give a second chance to a player who failed on his first team. Pro Football Focus identified one intriguing trade target for the Cowboys in their latest piece: Treylon Burks of the Tennessee Titans.

Cowboys Rumors: WR Treylon Burks Identified As A Realistic Trade Target

The Cowboys will certainly try to add a pass-catcher to their rotation in one of the earlier rounds of the draft. But you never know how the draft is going to shake out. The WR prospects they have identified and evaluated might be gone by the time the Cowboys are on the clock. Plus, Dallas has more immediate needs like the offensive line.

Therefore, they might leave addressing their wide receiver need for later in the draft. In that case, PFF suggests the Cowboys pull off a low-risk, high-reward trade to bring in Treylon Burks from the Titans.

"The Cowboys had Burks ranked as their No. 23 player in the 2022 NFL Draft and could acquire him relatively cheaply. If the Cowboys don't draft a wide receiver on the first two days of the draft, don't be surprised if they call about Burks, who they liked quite a bit just 24 months ago."

As Marcus Mosher of PFF points out, the Cowboys have previously coveted the Arkansas standout but the Titans grabbed him before it was Dallas' turn in the draft. Two years later, Burks' stock has crashed after two disappointing seasons in Tennessee.

However, Burks is still only 24 years old and hasn't had a fully healthy season yet. He might be a better option than whoever the Cowboys might get with their Day 3 draft picks.
