Cowboys Players Sound Off on Twitter After Giants Blowout
The Dallas Cowboys sent the rest of the league an undeniable message in Week 1 with their historic 40-0 win over the New York Giants. It's obvious the offseason hype around this improved roster was warranted, as Dallas already looks like a Super Bowl threat to begin the year.
Following such a strong statement win, plenty of Cowboys players had their own things to say on social media.
Defensive leader and avid Twitter user Micah Parsons was one of the first to jump on social media after handling the Giants with ease. He made it clear that Dallas isn't just treating matchups as "a game"; they're going out and battling like it's life and death.
Meanwhile, stud Jayron Kearse addressed the haters point-blank on the heels of that definitive victory. It's clear this team isn't letting any of the offseason noise go unchecked.
For as great as the defense was, their effort was even more impressive considering they were down two key contributors in Donovan Wilson and Jourdan Davis. The players know this is really only the start for this unit.
Last but certainly not least, Week 1 star Juanyeh Thomas took the time to be thankful following his breakout on national TV. The former undrafted defensive back out of Georgia Tech had to claw his way to get to this moment, but he sure made the most of it.
If it wasn't already obvious, this team is absolutely fired up after blowing the doors off of the Giants. Divisional games are always ripe for close contests given the familiarity that opponents have with each other, but this matchup was over nearly as soon as it started.
A 40-point thrashing of a team that has years of insight on you isn't anything to scoff at -- doubly so when that squad was a playoff team last year. What Dallas displayed Sunday night should have the rest of the league very afraid.
