All eyes will be on the Dallas Cowboys' matchup against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 5. Not only is this an early test for both Super Bowl hopefuls, but it also presents a chance for payback after the 49ers sent the Cowboys packing in last year's playoffs.
Ahead of this pivotal showdown, Dallas has received its best injury news of the year.
Thursday's practice marked the first time all season that the Cowboys' entire starting offensive line practiced. Even better, this key group is expected to all suit up in Week 4, giving the offense a massive boost before taking on San Francisco.
This is a major, major development. A multitude of injuries since the 2022 campaign have kept the front five of LT Tyron Smith, LG Tyler Smith, C Tyler Biadasz, RG Zack Martin and RT Terence Steele from all playing together at once. That's left Dallas plugging various holes as needed and never getting to see this unit with its five best talents on the field at the same time.
It appears Week 5 is going to change that, though. Terence Steele has been the lone constant on the O-line in 2023, playing in all four games so far. Meanwhile, Martin and Biadasz each missed the Week 3 upset at the hands of the Arizona Cardinals, while both Smiths have played just two games apiece (and never at the same time as the other).
Having the O-line at full strength should make an electric Cowboys offense even better moving forward. Assuming they're as good as hoped, Dallas' case as a contender just got even stronger.
