Cowboys Rookies in the Middle of First Training Camp Fight
The Dallas Cowboys are over in Oxnard, California for training camp as they get ready for the 2024 season.
Although they've won 12 games in three straight seasons, this offseason hasn't been one to cheer for coming from the fanbase.
There has been countless drama surrounding the team with the majority surrounding the talks on contract extensions and lack of offseason additions.
Their main acquisitions came in the 2024 NFL Draft and two rookies were seen getting into the first training camp fight for Dallas.
Cowboys News: Rookies Caelen Carson & Brevin Spann-Ford Get into Fight on Wednesday
In a video posted on X by David Moore of the Dallas Morning News, rookie safety Caelen Carson and rookie tight end Brevin Spann-Ford were seen getting into a fight.
Tempers can easily rise when you're practicing in the hot sun and you're getting hit. It also doesn't help when you're a rookie trying to earn your stripes.
That seems to have happened between these two but this isn't anything to worry about. This just means that these guys are ultra-competitive and want to win every rep. That can be blocking or catching that ball for Spann-Ford. It could be having sticky coverage or finding the ball carrier in the run game for Carson.
Nonetheless, training camp fights aren't something new. This wasn't the first time something like this happened and it certainly won't be the last.
Spann-Ford came over to Dallas as an undrafted free agent this spring and Carson was a fourth-rounder.
These two guys have their work cut out for them to make a statement on the 2024 campaign. But as of now, they are battling against each other and tensions got high for a bit.
