The Dallas Cowboys just wrapped their mandatory three-day minicamp on June 13. This was the last practice before training camp rolls around next month.

Despite most of their players being in the building, Cowboys superstar WR CeeDee Lamb wasn't present as he looks to lock down a big-time extension.

Frankly, the Cowboys haven't paid Lamb, Dak Prescott, or Micah Parsons. That has led to unnecessary drama surrounding the team but that's what happens when you don't pay your star players.

With no current resolution on the Lamb front, Gary Davenport of Bleacher Report wrote an article that features eight trades that would impact the playoff race in 2024.

Cowboys News: Dallas Trades For A Pro-Bowl WR In This Scenario

Davenport suggests that the Cowboys trade a conditional Day 2 pick and a 2025 fifth-round pick in exchange for WR Courtland Sutton and a 2026 sixth-round pick.

With all the uncertainty around Lamb, this would be a very smart decision and wouldn't cost much.

Sutton stands at 6-foot-4 and has been known for being a contested catch monster. The 28-year-old has notched 298 receptions (511 targets) for 4,259 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns in his career.

Just last season, he finished with 772 receiving yards and a career-high 10 touchdowns.

Adding a playmaker like Sutton to the offense can really transform things for the Cowboys. Pass catchers that feature Lamb (if/when they agree to an extension), Brandin Cooks, Jake Ferguson, and Sutton can be explosive.

Jerry Jones said that Dallas was going to be "all-in" this offseason but their moves haven't shown that. Getting a WR like Sutton changes that narrative and gives the fanbase something to cheer for.

Sounds like a great plan to me.
