The Dallas Cowboys revamped their offensive line this offseason as they saw center Tyler Biadasz and left tackle Tyron Smith leave in free agency. Not only did the Cowboys lose two starters, but they also failed to make any additions in the free agent or trade market.

This naturally raised questions among the Cowboys fanbase about how head coach Mike McCarthy would solve the offensive line issue.

Fortunately, the Cowboys addressed the need in the 2024 NFL Draft. They drafted Tyler Guyton in the first round as a potential Tyron Smith replacement and selected Cooper Beebe as a center/guard in the third round. Beebe impressed in the training camp so far, causing speculation about him taking the starting center job.

However, Dak Prescott is endorsing a different player in the position battle. Brock Hoffman, who started two games at center last season and has played a total of 221 defensive snaps in his two years in Dallas, just got Prescott's stamp of approval, according to Adam Schultz of Athlon Sports.

"The love for the game, the passion, it jumps out when the moment he starts the huddle. That's contagious, people feel that, and then whether it's a run, the pass, he's a guy that got your back and I know he's got my back and the other 10 guys and whoever else steps on the field with him.

I'll go to war with him any day, anywhere, anyhow."

Dak Prescott on Brock Hoffman

Praising how Hoffman goes about his business and how he carries himself, Prescott demonstrated his faith in the 25-year-old center. The formerly undrafted free agent, Hoffman was a part of the Cowboys practice squad in 2022 and was elevated to the active roster later that season.

Hoffman also started a game at right guard last season for Zack Martin. Considering Cooper Beebe's versatility, we might see different looks on the offensive line in the preseason.

Reading between the lines of Prescott's remarks, however, it's not difficult to guess who the frontrunner to be the starter at center is.
