Dalvin Cook Must Be Infuriated After Watching Week 4 vs. Giants
The Dallas Cowboys got back on the board and secured a win in Week 4. They went on the road and beat the New York Giants 20-15 in an NFC East showdown.
In the win, Dallas racked up 293 total yards of offense but only 80 came on the ground. Prior to the contest, owner Jerry Jones revealed that Dalvin Cook wouldn't get called up to the active roster and would stay on the practice squad.
That was a bit surprising considering the lack of production they were getting from the ground game.
And after Thursday night, Cook couldn't be feeling better about the Cowboys' decision not to elevate him.
Rico Dowdle led the way with 11 carries for 46 yards but behind him, there wasn't any production. Ezekiel Elliott had five carries for 19 yards with Hunter Luepke recording two rushes for eight yards.
Cook has to be annoyed that he wasn't given a shot to show what he has left in the tank. The Cowboys added Cook to the practice squad in late August but he has yet to be elevated to the active roster.
One of the most glaring problems in Dallas is their lack of a ground game, so Cook has to believe to can bring some juice onto the field.
In his career, the Florida State product has compiled 6,207 rushing yards and 47 touchdowns, including four seasons over 1,000 yards.
Last season with the New York Jets and the Baltimore Ravens, Cook had a career-worst 214 yards but he's eager to bounce back.
But he'll have to wait until he gets that call-up. And who knows when that will come.
