The pressure is on the Dallas Cowboys to get back into the win column in Week 4. They travel to play the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football.

Dallas' defense and rushing attack have gained the most attention for the Cowboys' sluggish start. Despite their problems, owner Jerry Jones has continued to voice his support for the roster he constructed.

As a guest on 105.3 The Fan, Jones announced that he doesn't expect running back Dalvin Cook to play on Thursday night. If that didn't annoy Cook, the news coming out of Kansas City will certainly bother the 29-year-old running back.

NFL News: Kareem Hunt Elevated to Chiefs Active Roster

Per Field Yates of ESPN, the Kansas City Chiefs have signed running back Kareem Hunt to the active roster. On Sept. 17, Hunt was signed to Kansas City's practice squad after Isiah Pacheco went down with an injury.

Now after one week of practice, he's already been elevated to the 53-man roster.

Meanwhile, Cook signed with the Cowboys practice squad on Aug. 28 and has been there for about a month. What makes matters worse is that Dallas' rushing attack has been nonexistent thus far. They are ranked 30th in the NFL in rushing offense (73.7) after three weeks.

Cook has to be thinking why he isn't getting a chance to suit up and show what he's capable of.

Cook didn't put out the best film last season, logging 214 rushing yards and zero touchdowns with the New York Jets and Baltimore Ravens.

He was hoping to bounce back in 2024 but will have to wait his turn.
