Jerry Jones and company are running the show for the Cowboys down in Texas. They have built a roster that has won 12 games in three straight seasons but they haven't been able to get over the hump in the postseason.

Despite being quiet in free agency, they consistently added talent through the NFL Draft over the past few years.

The Cowboys selected eight total players in the 2023 draft, which included DeMarvion Overshown, being nabbed 90th overall in the third round.

He never got to step on the field last season after he tore his ACL in preseason. As he rehabs his way back onto the field, Overshown was looking to change his number but got shut down by management.

Dallas News: DeMarvion Overshown Tried to Change His Number to 0

Overshown is currently rocking No. 13 but wanted to switch to No. 0 for 2024 but was told that number wasn't available, per Clarence Hill of the Forth Worth Star-Telegram. That is shocking and a bit strange because no one on the team is wearing that number right now.

Overshown has had the nickname Agent Zero, ever since his days at the University of Texas. He wore that number from 2020-2022, where he racked up 230 total tackles, 23.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks, and two interceptions.

That nickname is something that fans have loved which is why it's stuck with him.

Another reason this shows that Jones is out of touch is because the 81-year-old forced CeeDee Lamb to wear No. 88 when he came into the league in 2020.

Michael Irvin, Drew Pearson, and Dez Bryant all wore this in Cowboy history, meanwhile, Lamb originally wanted to rock No. 10.

This latest move with Overshown clearly shows that management picks and chooses when they allow a player to do something.

The NFL gave clearance to players to start rocking No. 0 beginning in 2023 and the Cowboys allowed Jayron Kearse to do so.

That makes it even more strange why they told Overshown no.
