The Dallas Cowboys are over in Oxnard, California as they have training camp in full swing. They have won 12 games in three straight seasons under Mike McCarthy.

Despite having the regular-season success, they have failed to get over the hump in the postseason. Instead of making any real acquisitions this offseason to raise the floor of the team, management decided to roll with a similar roster from 2023.

They also failed to give out any extensions to Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, or Micah Parsons.

That has led to an NFC East foe attempting to lure Parsons to town.

Cowboys News: Jahan Dotson Says Micah Parsons Will Be Accepted With Open Arms in Washington

Kay Adams has been going around the country visiting training camps and stopped by the Washington Commanders on Aug. 3.

There she interviewed wide receiver Jahan Dotson and he tried to recruit Parsons to come play for the Commanders.

"Just know he has a home here in DC...if he ever needs one."

Jahan Dotson

These two guys were teammates at Penn State from 2018-2020, where they developed a great bond. Now they are rivals but that doesn't mean Dotson wouldn't want to play with him again.

This wasn't the first time that Dotson tried to lure Parsons to the Commanders. When Dan Quinn became the head coach of Washington, Dotson went on social media and said the Commanders welcomed him with open arms.

Although it isn't likely that Parsons will leave town, Dallas' failure to extend him leaves the door open for these kinds of comments.

Parsons expressed to Stephen Jones that he wants to be the highest-paid non-QB in the league and he's earned the right to say that.

Since entering the league in 2021, Parsons is fourth in the NFL in total sacks (40.5) with 51 tackles for loss and seven forced fumbles.

He's one of the top EDGE rushers in the league and wants to be paid like one. And until Dallas does, comments like the one Dotson made will be floating around.
