Ezekiel Elliott Admits Harsh Truth About Cowboys Fans at 2024 Camp
The Dallas Cowboys are over in Oxnard, California for training camp in preparation for the 2024 season.
They are known as America's Team but they haven't given their fans much to cheer about over the last couple of months.
Some practices have been opened to the public but running back Ezekiel Elliott has noticed a change.
Cowboys News: Dallas Has Less Fans at Training Camp
When speaking with reporters on July 29, Zeke said, "It just feels like normally, like the first couple of days, the camp would be packed but I don't know why [it's not as packed]."
Well frankly speaking, what have the Cowboys done to excite the fans?
We know the fanbase is tired of hearing the words "All-in" after owner Jerry Jones uttered those words a couple of months ago. When saying that, it gave the fans some hope that they would be aggressive in improving the team but that was far from the truth.
Instead, the Cowboys' biggest free agent signings were bringing back Zeke and inking veteran linebacker Eric Kendricks.
Outside of that, they haven't done much. They also didn't extend their stars Dak Prescott, Ceedee Lamb, or Micah Parsons, That has led to Lamb holding out as the star looks for a payday.
If they star players aren't showing up, why would the fans want too?
One thing that's clear, the Cowboys have their work cut out for them to get the excitement back up for the 2024 season. Especially since their division rival Philadelphia Eagles have been offseason darlings after their abundance of moves.
One easy way to get fans in the stands? Extend Lamb. That's step one.
