The Dallas Cowboys are always heavily discussed. That is something that didn't change this offseason. The pending contract extensions surrounding Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and Micah Parsons hang over the franchise's head.

The lack of moves in free agency also rung the alarm amongst Cowboys fans. Owner Jerry Jones calmed the fanbase when he signed RB Ezekiel Elliott on April 29, bringing him back to Dallas one year later.

Elliott is now the lead workhorse in the backfield but his latest move will stun the fans.

Cowboys News: Ezekiel Elliott Makes A Change for the 2024 Season

Elliott originally was going to wear No. 21 in his return to Dallas but as they say, things change quickly in the NFL.

According to Patrick Walker, Elliott started offseason conditioning rocking the infamous No. 21 but he decided to switch things up. He will now wear No. 15 in his second stint in Dallas.

Trey Lance, who was wearing 15 before, will now change over to No. 19.

Elliott wore No. 15 during his collegiate career at the Ohio State University. During his three years with the Buckeyes, he racked up 3,961 rushing yards and 43 rushing touchdowns, including back-to-back campaigns with 1,800-plus rushing yards.

As he heads back to Dallas, the Cowboys faithful will have to buy new jerseys to get No. 15 with Elliott on the back.

With a crucial season on the way, Zeke is hoping to add a major spark to the offense. He will just have a different look than Cowboy fans are used to.
