The Dallas Cowboys generally drafted well over the last few years. They had big steals in late rounds like DaRon Bland and Jake Ferguson, while also nailing their early-round picks like Micah Parsons, Sam Williams, and CeeDee Lamb. Like every team in the league, however, they have had their share of draft busts.

One of those names is the former second-round pick, Kelvin Joseph. The Cowboys drafted the Kentucky product with the 44th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft but the 24-year-old cornerback has had an underwhelming NFL career so far.

After two disappointing seasons in Dallas, Joseph was traded to the Miami Dolphins in the 2023 offseason in exchange for Noah Igbinoghene. He wasn't able to revive his career in Miami either before being released mid-season.

Now, however, Joseph is attempting a bounce-back season with the Kansas City Chiefs and the latest reporting suggests that he might make the final roster.

Former Cowboy Kelvin Joseph Impressing with the Kansas City Chiefs

According to Chiefs reporters, Joseph has made quite the impression during the Chiefs' second round of organized team activities. He has been working with the second team in practice and made a ton of plays, including an interception on Patrick Mahomes.

Chiefs insider Nick Jacobs of KSHB-TV had previously talked about the very serious possibility of Joseph making the final roster.

"The guy was all over 7-on-7... he had a lot of deflections and was in good position a lot of the times. He made that interception on Mahomes."

It is still way too early before the training camp. Joseph has some talent and upside but will face a lot of competition during the OTAs. The Chiefs have an ability to find value on the margins by giving second and third chances to players, so don't be surprised if the Cowboys' draft bust finds himself in Kansas City.
