Mavericks fans don’t need any extra reasons to get amped up for the upcoming NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics, but you have them anyway.

Dallas is playing for its first NBA championship since 2011, Kyrie Irving is playing for vengeance against Boston, Luka Doncic is trying to take his reputation to the next level AND apparently Luka and Kristaps Porzingis aren’t each other’s biggest fans.

Chandler Parsons revealed Monday that Luka and the Mavs don’t like Porzingis on "Run it Back" on FanDuel TV.

Hopefully this adds some fuel to the fire in what should already be an exciting matchup.

Doncic vs. Porzingis Beef Adds Intrigue to NBA Finals

Porzingis hasn’t played since late April, but the extra time off in between the conference finals and the NBA Finals might give him enough time to return to the court.

If he does, expect some animosity between him and Doncic, according to Pasons.

“It will be way more violent towards Kyrie Irving and Boston, no doubt, but don’t get it twisted, they do not like Porzingis in Dallas,” Parsons said on Monday. “Luka did not like playing with him. There is an actual beef there. It’s gonna be where every time he touches the ball, he’s getting booed.”

Parsons wasn’t on the Mavs at the same time as Porzingis and Doncic, but there’s some evidence out there to back up his claim.

Porzingis addressed his relationship with Luka on JJ Redick's podcast, ‘The Old Man and the Three’ back in December of last year.

Redick asked Porzingis about what went wrong in Dallas, including probing to see if there was a pissing contest between him and Luka.

“Early on, for sure,” Porzingis replied. “But I think we both tried to make it work. It’s just I think communication, like maturity and communication, on both of our parts should have been better.”

Redick, who briefly played with Doncic and Porzingis in Dallas, brought up a moment in which Luka was sulking for being benched and Porzingis asked coach Rick Carlisle to tell him to ‘stop being a baby.’

Of course, this is all pretty tame stuff by NBA standards, but Porzingis did seem uncomfortable discussing it and there could be much more to the story that he's unwilling to discuss publicly.

At the least, it could be fun to see the two players talk some smack back-and-forth in heated moments of the NBA Finals - adding another layer of excitement to the drama.
