The Dallas Mavericks have been on a roll all postseason. They capped it off with an impressive road win in Minnesota on Thursday night to punch their ticket to their first NBA Finals since 2011. Luka Doncic was as dominant as ever, starting the game aggressively, scoring 25 points in the first half on his way to a series-clinching blowout.

After the game, Doncic thought he deserved a little celebration. He cracked open a post-game beer with his dad, Sasa. However, Mavericks assistant GM and VP of Basketball Operation Michael Finley had other plans. Seeing his superstar celebrating too early, Finley went up to him and hilariously confiscated his beer.

This is likely nothing more than a friendly, tongue-in-cheeky interaction. We don't really know the details or the context about the situation from a 13-second clip. It is still funny, however, to see Doncic's face after he realizes that Finley isn't coming back with his beer.

Perhaps Finley is trying to instill the mindset that the job is not done yet. The Mavericks have the NBA Finals ahead of them where they will face their toughest opponent yet in the Boston Celtics.

It is safe to say, however, that Doncic deserved that beer with his Conference Finals performance. In five games, the Slovenian phenom averaged 32.4 points, 9.6 rebounds, 8.2 assists, and 2.2 steals per game in 40.1 minutes of action. He consistently carved up the Minnesota defense, which had no answers for him.

On FanDuel Sportsbook, the Mavericks are +184 underdogs against the Celtics in the Finals. If Doncic manages to pull off that upset, even Michael Finley can't stop him from celebrating with however many beers as he likes.
