Jerry Jones Letting Another Contender Sign Best Remaining Free Agent RB
The Dallas Cowboys continue to watch as other teams around the league are improving their roster. The Cowboys currently have a massive hole at running back after Tony Pollard left town in free agency.
Even though Pollard agreed to terms with the Tennessee Titans on Mar. 11, Dallas hasn't done anything to bolster that unit and another inciting option to slated to find a new home soon.
Per ESPN Adam Schefter, free agent RB JK Dobbins is visiting the Kansas City Chiefs and he is expected to "have a home very soon."
Cowboys News: JK Dobbins Is Visiting the Kansas City Chiefs
The former Ohio State standout is coming off a torn Achilles that he suffered in Week 1 of the 2023 campaign.
His next deal certainly won't break the bank and will likely be a one-year prove-it deal. Those are the kind of contracts that Jerry Jones should be pursuing but it doesn't seem like they will.
Across three seasons, Dobbins has logged 1,347 rushing yards with 12 rushing touchdowns. He may not be a lead workhorse, but has the ability to be an effective presence in a running back committee.
Regardless, it doesn't appear that the Cowboys are interested in Dobbins services. And that might be a bad decision.
Nonetheless, Dallas has one of the best rosters in the NFL. According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Cowboys have the fifth-highest odds (+1300) to win the Super Bowl. If you like these odds, head over to FanDuel Sportsbook and take advantage of your sign-up bonus.
