Micah Parsons Carted Off Field After Concerning Leg Injury vs. Giants
By Cem Yolbulan
The Dallas Cowboys came away with the win in the hard-fought Thursday Night Football battle against the New York Giants. It wasn't the prettiest or the best-executed game for the Cowboys, but it was important to get to 2-2 for the season against a division rival.
However, Cowboys fans couldn't celebrate the win as their star defender Micah Parsons suffered a concerning injury late in the fourth quarter. As he was trying to rush center John Michael Schmitz, he was stopped by Giants right guard Greg Van Roten, who inadvertently landed on the back of his leg. He was fortunately able to walk to the sideline but it was certainly concerning.

Parsons was immediately moved to the cart after leaving the medical tent, with his left leg clearly needing attention. Fellow defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence had exited the game earlier with a foot injury, leaving the Cowboys depleted in pass rush.
It was a miserable evening for Parsons in general. The All-Pro defender suffered a neck injury in the first half. Even though some had feared a potential concussion, he was later cleared to come back.
Before he had to leave the game, Parsons wasn't having the best game of his career. He continued his slow start to the season as he struggled against Giants left tackle Andrew Thomas.
If this injury keeps Parsons sidelined for an extended period, it has a chance to tank his individual season as well as the Cowboys' prospects for the rest of the campaign. Let's hope we get good news about his ankle in the next few days.
