The Dallas Cowboys and the fanbase are feeling good after Week 1. This past Sunday, they dominated the Cleveland Browns en route to a 33-17 win over the Cleveland Browns.

Hours before kickoff, the Cowboys agreed to terms with quarterback Dak Prescott on a massive four-year deal for $240 million with $231 million guaranteed.

That comes a few weeks after Dallas made CeeDee Lamb the second highest-paid WR in the league. That leaves Micah Parsons as the last star player to get his new deal and his latest answer will excite the fanbase.

Cowboys News: Micah Parsons Says He Will Be a Dallas Cowboy

Parsons was speaking on his show "The Edge with Micah Parsons" and was expressing his excitement about Prescott getting his long-term deal.

"He didn't cheat the game. He earned everything he got. So that just goes to his work, his dedication, his craft, everything he put into it. Good things happen when you don't cheat the game. And I can say he's been 100 percent balling since he's been here."

The Penn State product added that he knows he's going to be a Cowboy. He added, "I just [have] to keep doing what I'm doing. Keep working, keep trying to be the best player I can be and try to win championships, and then they probably throw me a little something on the side."

But we all know that it won't be a little deal. When Parsons gets paid, he will likely become the highest-paid defensive player in the league. He started off the 2024 season with a bang, logging a team-high nine pressures, one sack, and one pass deflection that led to an interception in the win over the Browns.

Parsons' desire to stay in Dallas is a sigh of relief. Earlier this offseason, he revealed that he would be open to playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers if he wasn't in Dallas but that can be tossed away now.

Parsons wants to be in Dallas and the Cowboys will eventually hand him a big-time extension. It's just a matter of time.
