After a dominant 49-17 win over the New York Giants in Week 10, the Dallas Cowboys have another cupcake matchup in Week 11. This week they go on the road to face the Carolina Panthers, who have the worst record in the NFL at 1-8.

Against such an easy opponent, the Cowboys might be tempted to not go all-out this week. However, they're still two wins behind the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East and need every win they can get.

Unfortunately for Dallas, not everyone on the 53-man roster will get to dress for this weekend's game, either due to injury, sickness, underperformance or lack of playing time.

With that said, here are three Cowboys players who will likely be inactive this week.

1. Trey Lance

If there was ever a time to throw Trey Lance out there, it would be this week against rookie QB Bryce Young. Unfortunately for Lance, with Dak Prescott healthy and coming off a 5-touchdown performance, that's not gonna happen.

Lance has still yet to make his season debut for Dallas after being acquired from the San Francisco 49ers in late August. With Prescott healthy/playing well and with Cooper Rush locked in as his backup, there's been no room for the former No. 3 overall pick on the active roster come gameday.

Even with a soft matchup this week, that's unlikely to change. Lance will continue serving as the team's emergency third quarterback unless something happens to Prescott and/or Rush, in which case Lance might finally see some action.

Prescott has yet to miss a game this season, however, and is playing some of the best football of his career right now with 1,082 passing yards and 11 touchdown passes over his last 3 games combined. Unfortunately for Lance, there's just no need to change up the Dallas QB room right now, so all he can do is wait on the bench and be ready if an opportunity ultimately arises.
