3 Most Likely Cowboys Inactives vs. Panthers in Week 11
By Tyler Maher
2. Eric Scott
Eric Scott is in a similar boat as Lance, as he's yet to make his season debut for the Cowboys this year.
Scott was a sixth-round draft pick back in the spring, making him a fringe player to begin with. The 25-year-old rookie cornerback apparently still hasn't shown enough during practice to prove he deserves a spot on the active roster.
The fact that Scott didn't play last week against rookie quarterback Tommy DeVito is extremely telling. If Mike McCarthy can't trust him in that spot, why would he trust him in a similar spot this week against a superior quarterback?
Dallas also didn't sustain any major injuries last week. While that's great news for the Cowboys, it's bad news for Scott. It will likely take a significant injury to get him on the active roster at this stage of the season, and even then it's no guarantee.
Scott has been a regular inactive all season long, so don't expect that trend to change this week unless a big injury pops up at practice later this week.
