Health has been a major struggle for the Dallas Cowboys during the 2023 season. An injury knocked out another starter in Week 10, as a shoulder ailment sidelined kick returner/wide receiver KaVontae Turpin against the New York Giants.
Thankfully, though, the Cowboys picked up no further issues once the dust settled on Sunday's dominant win over the Giants.
Cowboys Injury News
Stephen Jones said on his usual Monday radio appearance that Dallas had no big injuries to speak of from Week 10. Jones even bragged that the Cowboys are a "very healthy team right now," which is certainly a welcomed change.
Of course, there's a handful of important players on the injured reserve list whose potential returns to practice will be monitored in the lead-up to Week 11. It's still good news that no one will be joining them, though, with everyone emerging unscathed from last weekend's beatdown.
Dallas' current players on IR present possible reinforcements for the stretch run if they're able to get right sometime soon. Veteran linebacker Leighton Vander Esch is eligible to return in Week 11 after going on IR in Week 8, but he remains without a timetable.
Meanwhile, backup tight end Peyton Hendershot wasn't able to return this past week after he sat out the required 4 games, putting his status up in the air for Week 11.
Luckily, if any Cowboys did pick up minor ailments and could use a game off, this is certainly the week to hold them out with the lowly Carolina Panthers on the schedule next. Dallas should by no means take them lightly, as we saw what happened with the Arizona Cardinals, but this is a chance to get any particularly hurting players some time to recover if they need it.
