You can't fault Cowboys fans for assuming the worst about any potential bad news they hear right now. Between the Zach Martin holdout threat, the disastrous kicker situation and the Mazi Smith injury, nothing is going our way right now.

So Cowboys fans also started to get really worried when Tony Pollard missed Tuesday's practice for undisclosed "personal reasons." Well, Pollard revealed why he missed practice, and fans don't need to worry at all. In fact, anyone who got annoyed at Pollard probably owes him a big apology.

Just check out the exciting news:

Some things are bigger than football, and the birth of your child is one of those things. I'm thrilled Pollard got to take the day off to celebrate the incredible occasion.

This is Pollard and girlfriend Kerra Mackey's second child together, having welcomed a daughter into the world in September 2021.

Are we excited about getting to see Pollard star in this offense as a featured back with Ezekiel Elliott gone? Absolutely. Are we concerned about what will happen with Pollard next offseason when he's an unrestricted free agent? Of course. Are we on pins and needles about how the Cowboys will compete with the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East? Naturally.

But all of that should take backstage for Pollard at the moment as he celebrates such a magical occasion.

Training camp will still be there later this week, and there's no need for it to take anything away from the special moment.

Congratulations Tony!
