The Dallas Cowboys are coming out of their bye week but still can't escape drama. Not a week goes by without the organization finding itself under the spotlight with a different embarrassing story.

This time it was ESPN's reporting about the fan tours of the Cowboys' facilities. Kalyn Kahler of ESPN did a deep dive into the organizational culture around the fan tours. Talking to several former Cowboys, Kahler revealed a dark truth about the team: many players are not happy with the culture and are happy when they leave Dallas.

Cowboys fans will remember when former Cowboys tight end Dalton Schultz talked about the facilities feeling "like a zoo" because of the fans tapping on the glass of the weight room while players were in there. Many former and current players echoed the same sentiment throughout the article.

"But several former Cowboys told ESPN that the tours are one of the biggest distractions of working in Jerry's world and contradictory to Jones' stated goal of ending the 29-year Super Bowl drought."

Former Cowboys safety Jayron Kearse also called it a zoo while another player who requested anonymity said the facility fails to be "a place of solitude" because of the fans constantly walking around, "poking out at you".

The words "distraction" and "exhausting" were thrown out by former players who complained about "never getting a break".

The fan tours have long been a big difference between the Cowboys and the rest of the league. Not only do they generate revenue for the franchise but they also help build a positive relationship between the fans and the team.

While it's important to provide this experience for the fans, the organization needs to make sure that it doesn't come at the expense of the comfort of the players. Blaming these distractions as the reason for not winning a Super Bowl is obviously disingenuous but it shows a clear pattern of misplaced organizational priorities under Jerry Jones.
