The Dallas Cowboys fortified their front line on Thursday night when they selected Alabama offensive lineman Tyler Booker with the 12th overall selection. America's Team desperately needed to fill a hole on the offensive line following Zack Martin's retirement, and the Cowboys are hoping that the promising Crimson Tide blocker can do the job.
As dominant as he can be on the gridiron, Booker's no-nonsense personality has also made him popular throughout his team at Alabama and ahead of the draft. It looks like that reputation will follow the 21-year-old blocker to the NFL, judging by his fiery post-draft message to Cowboys fans and the rest of the league.
Cowboys Fans Will Love Tyler Booker's Ice-Cold Post-Draft Message
Following his selection, Booker spoke with Bleacher Report’s Adam Lefkoe in an interview where his new teammate and Cowboys superstar Micah Parsons was in attendance. When asked about how it feels to "make guys not love football any more," the former Alabama product made it clear that he takes joy in striking fear into the heart of the enemy.
"Football is a child's game. People wake up like, 'Man, I can't wait to play this football game today,'" Booker said. "They listen to their hype music. They take their pre-workout. They get so excited to play football until they come across Tyler Booker."
this might be THE COLDEST quote I've ever heard from a player

Standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 321 pounds, Booker is a physical force who can punish even the biggest defenders. The New Haven, CT native's combination of strength, size, and motor consistently helps him wear down the competition to a point where they might question their career choices.
"When I’m going after you — quarter after quarter, play after play, series after series — I start to see that love leave their eyes," Booker admitted. "That’s what makes me love the game."
Booker's ice-cold quote instantly elicited a fired-up reaction from Parsons, who couldn't contain how much he loved his new teammate's message. After yelling out various unidentifiable sounds for a few seconds, the four-time Pro Bowl disruptor only had six more words to say to the incoming rookie protector.
"Hey man, welcome to the team," an out-of-breath Parsons exclaimed.
After recently describing his playing style as "legal assault," Cowboys fans can't wait to see what Booker will bring to the NFL gridiron. He won't be an instant replacement for the retired Martin, however, Booker's outlook as a potential O-line mainstay is promising after posting an 86.5 Pro Football Focus pass protection grade in 2024.
It won't be long before Dallas fans get a taste of Booker and the rest of the 2025 rookie class in action. The Cowboys will hold their annual rookie minicamp on one of May's first two weekends, meaning fans should have a better sense of the offseason schedule after the draft wraps up.
