Jerry Jones has done the best he can to clean up arguably his worst defenses of all time. Just drafting Caleb Downs did a number, turning the historically bad defense into a potential future Hall of Famer.

Speaking of a Hall of Famer, one of them seems to be liking the Cowboys as a potential destination. Free agent pass rusher Von Miller posted himself in a Cowboys uniform on his Instagram story with the No. 24 on his jersey. The song he posted was "They Don't Know" by Paul Wall. Some would say it's a pro-Texas song, to say the least, and the veteran made it very clear that he's interested in speaking with Jones.

Miller, a veteran from Texas A&M, grew up in DeSoto, just south of Dallas. It would make for the perfect homecoming to end a fantastic career.

Just a few days ago, Miller expressed regret signing with the Washington Commanders, and it looks like that made the Cowboys' momentum grow even more.

Miller's market value, according to Spotrac, is listed at $5.8 million a year. The Cowboys can easily sign Miller to another team-friendly deal as they did with the Commanders, and best of all, he can turn the Cowboys into a serious playoff contender.

The Cowboys could use a player with Miller's history and accolades. He's a Super Bowl MVP with the Denver Broncos. In the second half of the 2021 season, he was traded to the Los Angeles Rams, where he won his second Super Bowl. He may have been the last piece to an already serious contender, and the Cowboys would love him instantly.

The Maxx Crosby rumors have been active for nearly a year. However, if they fail on that end, Miller is a veteran presence who could instantly become a captain before Week 1.

He may not be the same player from 10 years ago, and he may not even be starting material for some teams, but he still played 17 games last year with the Commanders and racked up nine sacks, six tackles for loss and 26 total tackles.

The Cowboys have younger pieces like Donovan Ezeiruaku, Malachi Lawrence, Rashan Gary and Jaishawn Barham, but could the Cowboys be "a Von Miller away" from a Super Bowl?

Maybe, but signing him wouldn't break the bank at all. At this point in his career, Miller will be accepting team-friendly deals at best, and for the Cowboys, it makes sense for him to end his career where he was born.
