Matt Johnson is an avid sports fan, and most importantly a DFW sports fan. Born and raised in the Dallas area, Matt went to high school at Jesuit Dallas and later on studied journalism at Texas Tech University. Matt worked for the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal as a copy editor and fill-in sports writer. He also worked for Texas Tech media, covering all sports from football to women's soccer. Matt is also a standup comedian performing shows in and around Dallas. His writing inspirations are: Rick Reilly, Tim Cowlishaw and Dancing Don Williams.
