Cowboys fans will love what Jalen Hurts has been doing lately in joint practice

Keep the jokes coming.

The narrative for Jalen Hurts hasn't been the best for Philadelphia Eagles fans, but he hasn't been the brightest in joint practice either. He's been throwing picks against the New England Patriots, and not even Eagles fans can ignore it anymore.

Five interceptions? Cue the Jim Mora rant from when he infamously said "playoffs!" That's simply not going to cut it, but some could've seen this coming a mile away. Hurts was already publicly criticized, thanks to the social media team not doing him any favors by showing him getting picked off by Quinyon Mitchell.

Eagles' Jalen Hurts throws five interceptions in joint practices

On the second day, he came out throwing 9-of-15 for four TDs, but still threw two interceptions. He was better, but you still can't get over the fact that he threw five interceptions in total.

Anthony Miller from Inside the Iggles, the Eagles' FanSided page, says Hurts is still learning through his new offense, which includes new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion. The Eagles were ready to move on from Kevin Putullo, but Miller says it's OK. Mistakes will be made.

"Mistakes are going to get made, and Hurts is going to throw interceptions as he makes adjustments to what Mannion wants with throwing in the middle of the field and building rapport with new receivers. He's out of his comfort zone and trying to figure out what works and doesn't work. This is the time to make sure he has everything figured out before the regular season begins and these games start to count."

Hurts is also without DeVonta Smith and Makai Lemon, so there's another reasonable excuse, but this is still Hurts being Hurts.

The overall narrative is that Hurts is a manager and leans on a solid offensive line and Saquon Barkley. When the football is in his hands, he doesn't know what to do under pressure.

Another thing I'll say in the Eagles' favor is that this is the offseason, and it's better for Hurts to learn from his mistakes now than in the regular season. There are going to be mistakes, and we all know that.

Even CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens have had a tough time going against Cobie Durant, Shavon Revel and Caleb Downs.

It's still something for Cowboys fans to chuckle about, but that's why it's good to make mistakes now. We can at least say that Hurts has continued to struggle, and he's still learning from his woes under his new offensive coordinator in a new system.
