The Dallas Cowboys suffered their fifth straight loss in Week 11, getting blown out by the Houston Texans at home. In the process of embarrassing themselves once again, they also suffered injuries to key players. In the second half of the game, when the Cowboys failed to score, they lost three offensive linemen: Tyler Guyton, Tyler Smith, and Zack Martin.

Veteran right guard Zack Martin's injury is particularly concerning. The 33-year-old exited the game early and did not return. Cowboys insider Calvin Watkins later reported that the All-Pro offensive lineman has injuries to both ankles.

Cowboys News: Zack Martin Leaves Game With Ankle Injuries

Martin was a limited participant in practice all week with a shoulder injury but was able to suit up on Monday. The long-time starter was available in all 10 of the Cowboys' games this season but the injuries are starting to pile up for the veteran.

The Cowboys reworked Martin's contract in the offseason to open up salary cap space this year and allow his cap hit to spread over the next two seasons. His contract was set to expire after this season but had three voidable years through 2027. Considering where the franchise is, it's hard to see Martin coming back to Dallas next season.

If Martin decided to continue to play, he should have plenty of suitors in free agency. Even though he hasn't been at his usual level this season, he is still one of the better offensive linemen in the league. If injuries and age-related decline prove to be too much, Martin can choose to retire after having had one of the most illustrious careers in the league.

Regardless of what he chooses to do in the offseason, Martin's time in Dallas is clearly coming to an end. He may have even played his final game already.
