The NFL is filled with impressive quarterback-wide receiver tandems, and the Dallas Cowboys aren't an exception. WR CeeDee Lamb and QB Dak Prescott form one of the most dynamic offensive duos in the NFL, proven by Lamb racking up 366 catches for 4,811 yards and 33 touchdowns in the 57 games he's played alongside Prescott since 2020.
As great as the Lamb-Prescott pair is, more help was needed this offseason after the Cowboys missed the 2024-25 NFL playoffs. Last year's poor results led to America's Team making a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Wednesday, acquiring WR George Pickens in a deal that also involved three future draft picks swapping ownership.
George Pickens Praises Dak Prescott After Cowboys-Steelers Trade
Acquiring a star player is always thrilling, which is why fans couldn't wait to hear what Pickens had to say during his first media interactions as a Cowboy on Thursday. The former Georgia Bulldog had plenty of praise for his new team and teammates, especially when it came to Dallas' quarterback.
"Just watching (Prescott) game over the years, he's a very prolific QB," Pickens said, per The Athletic's Jon Machota. "Smart QB. I'm just glad to be working with."

Any up-and-coming wideout should want to work with a quarterback of Prescott's caliber, so Pickens' comments shouldn't be that surprising.
Despite the criticism he receives around the league (and sometimes from Dallas fans), Prescott is one of the NFL's top signal-callers and, easily, better than any QB Pickens has played with so far. The three-time Pro Bowl gunslinger has amassed over 31,400 passing yards, 213 TDs, and a 98.1 passer rating across 122 all-time starts, and was even the 2023 NFL MVP runner-up not too long ago.
For reference, Pickens has been catching passes from the likes of Kenny Pickett, Mitchell Trubisky, Mason Rudolph, Justin Fields, and a regressing Russell Wilson to begin his career.
Despite the lackluster QBs under center, Pickens found a way to thrive in the Steel City. The 24-year-old playmaker converted 174 receptions into 2,841 receiving yards and 12 TDs during his Steelers run, and was just graded the 24th-best WR in 2024 by Pro Football Focus. In other words, it's hard not to imagine the sky being the limit for Pickens now that he has Prescott under center.
If all goes to plan, and Pickens and Lamb don't cannibalize each other's targets, the Cowboys could have one of the NFL's most lethal passing attacks on their hands. Dallas fans will get their first glimpse of the trifecta in action when the franchise's organized team activities (OTAs) begin on Monday, May 19.
