The Dallas Cowboys entered the 2025 NFL draft with their fanbase hoping to see a wide receiver or two added to the roster. Those optimistic supporters were left disappointed, though. Despite having one of their strongest draft performances in recent years, the Cowboys left Lambeau Field without drafting a wideout during the three-day event.

Fortunately, it didn't take long for America's Team to address its WR depth once the draft ended.

With a plethora of unselected prospects looking for homes, the Cowboys used the opportunity to sign rookie wideouts Traeshon Holden (Oregon) and Josh Kelly (Texas Tech) to NFL contracts. As it turns out, it didn't take long for one of the duo to react to the news.

UDFA WR Traeshon Holden Reacts to Cowboys Signing After NFL Draft

One minute after NFL insider Jordan Schultz announced his Cowboys signing, Holden immediately hopped on social media to react to the monumental moment.

"Let's go," the former Oregon product said in a concise two-word post, adding a blue heart at the end of his message.

Cowboys fans love it when a new player immediately embraces their team, so it likely won't take Holden long to become a fan favorite.

A strong work ethic is something else the Dallas faithful appreciates, and that's exactly what Kissimmee, FL native brings to the table. Holden spent three seasons fighting for opportunities in a loaded Alabama offense, converting 46 catches into 570 receiving yards and seven touchdowns while improving with each passing campaign.

A change of scenery didn't stop Holden's improvements from continuing when he transferred to Oregon in 2023. He posted 37 receptions for 452 yards and six TDs in 14 games with the Ducks during his first campaign before posting a career-best 45-718-5 stat line as a senior last season, likely playing a big role in the Cowboys' interest.

Time will tell if Holden can fight his way onto head coach Brian Schottenheimer's 53-man roster. The Cowboys' WR depth chart is malleable beyond WR1 and WR2 CeeDee Lamb and Jalen Tolbert, respectively, meaning isn't unfathomable to imagine Holden challenging the likes of Jonathan Mingo and Jalen Brooks for their roster spots this summer.

It won't be long until Cowboys fans learn about when they can view Holden and the rest of the rookie class in action. All 32 NFL franchises will be starting their rookie minicamps within the next two weeks, meaning it's only a matter of time before Dallas' future arrives in the Lone Star State.
