3 Cowboys Bold Predictions vs Patriots in Week 4
- Zeke disappears in return to Dallas
- Micah Parsons feasts (even more than usual)
The Cowboys' season has been an absolute rollercoaster so far, with Dallas looking like one of the best teams in football through two weeks before losing to one of the worst in Week 3. Win or lose, the Cowboys do it big.
And that's why we shouldn't be afraid to get bold with our predictions for our matchup against the New England Patriots in Week 4. Dallas is a big favorite (again), and we could see some wild performances on Sunday.
Here are our three bold predictions for the Cowboys vs. Patriots game today.
Cowboys vs. Patriots Bold Predictions for Week 4
1. The Cowboys and Patriots Combine to Score Fewer than 30 Points
Dallas is a significant favorite in this game and I think we win pretty handily, but it's not like we're gonna be able to hang 40 on New England like we did to the New York Giants in Week 1. For all of their weaknesses, Bill Belichick's team has an elite defense.
The Pats are one of only four teams in the NFL holding opponents below 4.5 yards per play. Pro Football Focus grades them out as the sixth-best defense in the NFL, including No. 5 against the run and No. 9 in coverage. They’re also the No. 1 tackling unit by PFF’s grades. They're legit.
But offensively? New England is 24th in the NFL with 4.7 yards per play and 23rd in PFF's grades. The Cowboys have an elite defense of our own, and we'll have no trouble shutting down Mac Jones and company.
I'm not saying this one's gonna be a 7-3 slog, but something like a 17-7 defensive struggle could certainly be in the cards.
