The Dallas Cowboys escaped with a narrow win over the Giants in Thursday Night Football. Even though it was important to win against the division rivals on the road, the performance was less than convincing.

Cowboys fans weren't particularly enthralled with what they saw from their teams. These are the five Cowboys that were the most disappointing in Week 4.

Micah Parsons

The star defender suffered a neck injury early in the first half. There was concern about a potential concussion but he was later cleared to return. However, Parsons wasn't able to break out of his slump.

Just like the entire Cowboys defense, Parsons struggled in pass rush and tackling, finishing the game with one tackle. Dallas failed to put pressure on Daniel Jones and he had one of the better games of the season. The Giants weren't able to convert in red zone chances but Jones had plenty of time in the pocket and he was accurate, carving the Cowboys defense easily, especially through the first three quarters.

Parsons was matched up with left tackle Andrew Thomas for most of the game. In those 14 matchups, Parsons was able to put pressure on the quarterback only once.

This was in line with the slow start Parsons has had so far in the season. In the first three games, the All-Pro pass rusher had 12 tackles and one sack, far below his usual standard. On PFF, he has a career-worst 81.9 grade and this game isn't going to change that. He is obviously the next in line for a contract extension but he needs to play better the rest of the way to get what he wants.

Obviously, none of this matters as Cowboys fans are desperately waiting for an update on Parsons' ankle. He rolled his ankle on a play late in the fourth quarter and had to be carted off. Let's hope that he is able to use the extra rest this week and be ready for Week 5.
