Star Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb appeared with local media on Tuesday, sharing his first public thoughts on his contentious contract dispute now that he's signed one of the richest contracts in NFL history.
Despite the ongoing debate about whether he'd sit out games in the regular season or cause drama within the locker room, Lamb insisted he was never worried about whether a deal would get done.
It was much ado about nothing, at least if you let Lamb tell the story.

Lamb told reporters that he never had a doubt, though at the same time, he grew impatient. He's one of the best offensive players in the league, and head coach Mike McCarthy's comments echoed Lamb's feelings.
En route to finishing third in the AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year voting in 2023, Lamb caught a league-leading 135 passes for 1,749 yards and 12 TDs. It was easily the most impressive production of his career, well-deserving of the extension he ultimately earned.
Dallas now turns its attention to Week 1 road matchup agains the Cleveland Browns. The Cowboys are determined to overcome their postseason demons. A focused Lamb is a great means to that end.
That being said, Dak Prescott and Micah Parsons both have their own contract negotiations to figure out. Jerry Jones has been purposefully coy throughout the summer, seemingly causing more drama than necessary. It all worked out in the end for Lamb, but we'll soon see if the gamble caused any on-field turmoil.
