CeeDee Lamb Takes Beef With Cowboys To Next Level
By Cem Yolbulan
The Dallas Cowboys and star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb have been involved in a long-lasting battle throughout the offseason. Lamb understandably wants to get paid like the best wide receiver in the league and Jerry Jones has been playing hardball so far. As a result, the All-Pro receiver has been holding out despite the heavy financial cost to him while the Cowboys jeopardize their Super Bowl chances by risking losing their best offensive weapon.
Earlier this week, the drama spread to social media. After Jerry Jones said that he didn't feel any sense of urgency about getting a deal done, Lamb responded on social media with a simple "lol". Now, the social media beef has gone one step further.
CeeDee Lamb Removes All Things Cowboys From His Social Media
According to social media investigators and the Bleacher Report, Lamb has erased all things Cowboys-related from his Twitter account. Previously, his bio had "America's Team". Now, it just says "eights" referring to his jersey number. Plus, neither his profile picture nor the header shows him in a Cowboys jersey.
Instead, there is a photo of him and Chiefs wide receiver Hollywood Brown from their time together at Oklahoma. Brown has a similar photo on his social media profile, prompting concern among the Cowboys fanbase about Lamb potentially departing.
As of now, there is no trade request from Lamb or any indication from either side about parting ways. However, if this saga continues in this way, it wouldn't be a big shocker. Jerry Jones & Co. are feeling confident in their hardball approach but they are playing with fire here and Cowboys fans are losing patience.
